*There's a scene in an old documentary, Jean Dominique says of the Haitian Revolution, "You Could Smell It in The Air". This was recorded as I studied radical historical protest movements in college . My good friend Matt Quijote, who'm I met at a
social justice club meeting, crafted this amazing beat over a spoken word recording. It was the first recorded song I was really proud of. And I still use it at times, peforming this song at protests when the scent is in the air.
